Life Catch Up

Busy, busy....

Getting back to the school and therapist schedule is not a picnic. After having 10+ days off my clock was all out of whack.

We are so scheduled during the week that I really enjoyed having no plans for so many days.

Today the schools were closed because of the ice (pictures will be up soon).

I did some Mommy School with the kids and then let them play. My son played Wii and my daughter followed me around while I cleaned the bathroom, did some Accounting, answered some email, cleaned her bedroom and talked to my girlfriend on the phone. It was a sleep in kinda day. We didn't even change into clothes. Love days like this.

My son will be tested this month by his speech therapist, occupational therapist, Preschool and the district. I look forward to their results.

My grandfather is in a rehab center. Right before Christmas he fall off a ladder, hurting his back and causing him much pain. He is 91 years old so even a fall of 3 steps is tremendous for him. He was decorating the hallway on a 4 step ladder. He thought that he was down after the 3rd step and fell. He couldn't just fall to the ground, nope, he had to hit a radiator on his way down. When he couldn't get up he called my 92 year old grandmother who "couldn't get him up." She told me that she tried for about 8-12 minutes and finally her tenant came home and told her not to move him. She called the ambulance and they headed to the hospital for an MRI. He thankfully didn't break anything but is in so much pain.

The hospital moved him to the rehab center a few days after Christmas and I hear he is doing well. I am dying to go see him. Hopefully in the next few weeks he can come home and the kids and I can visit him.
