The Queen's Meme #23 ~ The Blog Blizzard Meme1. An unexpected blizzard occurs. The power goes out for 10 days. There is no food in the house, no gas in the car, no heat, no TV, no computer, nada! You are snowed in and can't get to the store for supplies. How would you survive? How would you get out of this mess? In the past we did loose power for a week during Hurricane Floyd way back. I remember boiling water on the BBQ to wash my hair. If it was just my husband and I this would be cake but now that I have two kids, this was be horrific. The fireplace and wood stove thankfully, would keep us warm enough. The probably would be the TV thing. We never got that generator that we talked about but my husband is a genius and has stocked up on glow sticks and can hook his van up to the house to power a light and the computer enough to play a DVD for the kids. As for food, there would be 4 very unhappy people here because the kids are so picky.  Fortunately, the wood stove top could cook soup, pasta and such. We would survive but at the end of 10 we would be pretty miserable.

2. Tell us about your last snowball fight. It was a long time ago. I was about 25 and it was with my two roommates and one of their boyfriends. We headed out during the snow after 10:00 to just be together and enjoy the snow. We were young and feeling spry I guess. It was a good time and I remember not being able to feel my fingers anymore and the walk home was terrible but I still remember laughing until I thought I would pee my pants.

3. You have been asked to make a snowman. What is his name? Oh Lord, I have never been able to make a decent snowman so his name would be something like Loser, Mr. Pathetic, or Tipsy.

4. I have mountains of snow outside my door. I would like to make snow soup. What is the recipe? Scoop up some snow, put it in a pan and cook until you see the steam!  I am seriously not sure what you are looking for here. I have nothing.

5. It is Day 5 of the Big Blog Blizzard. You have been hunkered down for a very long time and in danger of losing your sanity. Your blog neighbors (that would be us) come callin' to see if you're OK. We peek in the window. What do we see? Oh, I would have dark circles under my eyes and by day 5 all four of us will be in separate rooms because we need a break from each other.
What are you doing in there? I am trying my damnest to read by the light of a candle because I have about 15 book reviews I need to post when the damn power comes back on.

6. Who is the flakiest snowflake in your life? That would be my girlfriend Sheress. You've just got to love her. She is loco.

7. You are Snow White. Which dwarf is your favorite and why? I like Dopey, He would make me feel smart!

8. What is the most fun you've ever had inside during a snowstorm? Just being with my family is fun but there was a snowstorm before kids when my husband (boyfriend at the time) had to bunker down. We just enjoyed being together. We would talk into the wee hours.

9. What was Jack Frost nipping at? He nips at my nips. I never say it's cold I say, "it's nipply out there".
10. Due to blobal warming (that's blog + global for all you non-blog speakers) your snowman has prematurely melted. What was his last request? Next time I come around, find someone who can make a damn snowman would ya?!
