Healthy Choice Went Gourmet

Last month, Healthy Choice introduced 11 new entrées to its Café Steamers, All Natural Entrées, and Select Entrées product lines. Nutrient-rich and preservative-free, the new entrées provide even more options for those busy days when you don't have time to prepare a meal from scratch but still want something that's delicious AND good for you.

I was excited to join this campaign because sometimes cooking for 1 is just plain annoying. The kids only eat 2-3 different things and my husband is always on his own kick so sometimes popping something in the microwave is the only way I eat.

The first one I tried was Roast Red Pepper Marinara - Fire-roasted red peppers, roasted garlic, and tangy marinara sauce complement whole-grain cavatelli pasta. With notes of Chardonnay wine and sea salt, this all-natural meal will tantalize your taste buds.

In a Nutshell: Here is what it looked like..

The proof is in the pasta!

It looks like homemade!
It taste like homemade!
And with well under 300 calories a meal a great alternative to any meal.

As someone who was raised on pasta my whole life and makes a pretty decent sauce, I am extremely picky about sauce.

I loved it!

The second entree' I received was Creamy Basil Pesto

Garden-fresh flavor of broccoli and tomatoes with extra virgin olive oil, sea salt, Chardonnay wine, and creamy basil pesto. Mixed with whole-grain cavatappi and topped with mozzarella cheese, this vegetarian dish is both wholesome and delectable.

I didn't manage to get a photo of the dish because I ate it on the fly. This is also one of the best parts of these entree's you can bring them with you. Just pop it in a handy dandy microwave wherever you are. Perfect for eating at work!

  1. Their new stuff is actually pretty good. I especially enjoy the Portabella Marsala Pasta. I was also impressed with the Slow Roasted Turkey Medallions. Yummy!

  2. Since marrying Italian, I can't eat any sore bought pasta or sauce. I make all my own. It's a lot of work, but you really notice the difference in taste. Good post, but I couldn't fathom eating it.

  3. I love Healthy Choice meals, especially the Pumpkin Squash ravioli. I've got some of their lobster ravioli to try in the freezer. Yum!
