I take a lot of self portrait of me and my kids but when someone actually takes my photo candidly with them I am so happy. This was at my girlfriend Teresa's house and I had asked her daughter who at the time was maybe 8 to take my picture with Goddess. Asking one of the adults makes me feel silly and immature for some reason so asking a child felt totally OK. Goddess was laughing at her God sister and looked at her which is when J happened to snap. Although it wasn't the picture I was originally looking for it has turned into one of my favorites.
You, my readers will never doubt how much I adore my kids, but with this picture, she will never doubt how much I love her. Long after I am gone, she will have pictures like this to tell her that her mommy loved and adored her.
Oh, that's just precious. And, you are so true, she will see that and know that you love her.
ReplyDeleteVery cute--my daughter had the "blue eyed girl" version of that shirt when she was about the same age as Goddess.
ReplyDeleteP.S.
My daughter now recognizes you by your pictures! She said, "Is that Ree-a?" I said yes, and she said, "When is she bringing her girl to our house?" lol
That is what pictures are for. To capture those precious moments. This is a lovely photo!
ReplyDeleteI know how much you love and adore your kids. You state it well when I read your blog. This picture shows the love between a mother and her daughter. BEAUTIFUL!
ReplyDeleteThat is a great shot. The candid ones are the best.
ReplyDeleteThere is no doubt in my mind that you love your children and I KNOW that they also know that you adore them. It is in every word you say to them and post about them. It is also in every single photo you take and post of them.
ReplyDeleteThis is a beautiful photo!
