Healthy Choice has Gotten Even Healthier

The new Healthy Choice steaming entrées showcase fewer and identifiable ingredients (vegetables frozen at the peak of freshness and generous cuts of white-meat chicken and even shrimp) through the innovative, clear packaging – so what you see is what you get, with no hidden ingredients. Priced at $2.50 or so, they are a much better value than a fast food lunch.

What I Can Tell You:
I received two Healthy Choice Entrees packed in dry ice. I love eating healthy but most of my healthy eating consists of large salads or bowls of cooked frozen veggies for dinner because I don't have the energy or time to sit around cutting up veggies to cook with.

I received the Rosemary Chicken and Sweet Potatoes and the Portabella Parmesan Risotto to try out.

Here is the Rosemary Chicken. While it didn't look like the picture on the box it was delicious.
First, of all it was easy. No need to puncture or stop midway to stir. Simply place in microwave and cook for 4-5 minutes. I did 4.3 minutes. The chicken is grilled and tender. I am a big sweet potato fan and would have eaten a whole plate of those sweet potatoes. They were so tender and tasty. The yellow bits are carrots and the pearl onions were an adorable accent. So colorful and yummy.

“I wrote this review while participating in a blog campaign by Mom Central on behalf of Healthy Choice and received samples of their new steaming entrées to facilitate my candid review. Mom Central also sent me a gift card to thank me for taking the time to participate.”

  3. I'm eating the rosemary chicken and sweet potatoes right now--I was worried when I opened the box--it looks and smells funny but tastes great, thank goodness :)
