Forget The Last Meal, This Will Be My Last Dessert Ever!

 Decadent Cakes and Glazes

What I Can Tell You:
Tonight while my family was oohing and aahhing over the cake (we made the Decadent Triple Chocolate Cake) I said, "if someone asked me on my death bed what I wanted for dessert, I would say, "Duncan Hines, Decadent Triple Chocolate Cake". I kid you not. This cake was fun to bake. Two separate steps which Goddess took care of with her new HeadChefs (more on that later).

The first step was to empty contents of small pouch into a small bowl. Stir 1/3 cup water into dry ingredients. Stir until mix thickens. Set aside. Empty dry mix into large bowl. Stir eggs, 1 cup water and oil into dry mix until moistened (about 50 strokes). Pour batter into prepared pan. Spoon chocolate filling mix randomly onto the cake surface randomly. (for bundt cake swirl filling pouch into cake batter). Swirl the mix into the surface of the cake using a knife or spatula.

Begging for a lick of the spoon!

It was super easy and 15 minutes into the 30 bake time, the house smelled amazing. Goddess asked at least every 3.8 minutes, "is it done yet?"

Adding the good stuff to the batter before we swirled it in.

The cake was amazing! I had two pieces and only stopped because well, I could literally eat the whole thing and I would end up hating myself afterward. Another piece tomorrow though.

What's the sense in baking a cake if you can't like the spoon. No raw eggs in step 1!

  1. Great review! Love the pics of Goddess!

I use these cake mixes all the time. I try to do my own too, but it's so quick and easy, for such yummy goodness!
