SOOC Sunday - October Storm 2011

80% of my photos are untouched because I enjoy the look of it in raw. The crispness of it makes me happy. Could be my age, I love the altered look but really appreciate the nature beauty of something that looks as it did the first time I saw it.

These were taken last weekend when we ended up with 13 inches of snow before Halloween. It wasn't a violent storm. The wind wasn't crazy but the snow was heavy and tons of branches fell taking out electricity in my town and the two towns surrounding me. There are still some without but fortunately for us, 4 days without and all is well.

Though only three hours into the storm, these pictures show just how quickly we had significant accumulation. Teach went out around 9ish to blow out the gutters and Goddess went with him to hang on the deck in a sweatshirt, black stretch pants and sneakers. Two hours later she was back for snow pants, boots, hat, gloves, scarf and a winter coat. Love how the leaves made it less monochrome.
