I joined a photo group this week with two other photographers. The were a wealth of knowledge and I learned more about my camera in the 2 hours with them than I ever knew before.
This is one of the first picture I took with my new "professional" settings. There will be a learning curve as it is like using my Canon for the first time but I like knowing I am using settings that the pros use.

Sounds like the kind of class I need. I still get confused about what settings to use when.
