Our New Home For Day Time Pets - Catch and Release

This past Thursday we received the most awesome Catch and Release tank for our day time pets. You know the kind you only let the kids keep for the day and release at night?! We have a day time pet every day in the summer. From butterflies to frogs and toads or grasshoppers and the other day two baby birds that were not ready to fly but more on that later.

I walked outside to hand it to her where she

She was searching for frog when I brought out the new aquarium
Thrilled as you can see

Goddess is a great catcher of all things creepy and crawly and was thrilled to receive this as she searched for frogs and toads.  When she received this Catch and Release Beach Aquarium with Net she quickly tossed old hockey stick that daddy attached an apple bag net to and plastic cylinder container that used to house zip ties (talk about recycling) that has been her frog container lately. It took her about 2 minutes with the extendable net. Here was the first one.

The container is so secure I allowed her for the first time to bring her critters into the house.

One of our day buddies

This aquarium is a great size

Nice easy to remove lid

You can see the lid not only is easy to remove but has an attachment so it will never be misplaced.

At one time she had 6 frogs in there. Very fun! Right up my girls alley. She loves this kind of thing.

We took the aquarium to the beach two days but have yet to catch a fish but can't wait to keep trying. Next time!

  1. This is a really nice Catch and Release Aquarium. I did not know that had anything like this. I would have loved to give this to my son and daughter to use. I bet my nephew would love one of these to bring his outdoor pets inside. It looks like a lot of fun!

  5. I love that it's catch and release and doesn't hurt the animal. I think it's a great thing for kids to learn at a young age.

  7. There's no telling what the boys would catch, just hope they release outside instead of in the house, lol.

This is really neat. I like that it is easy for kids to handle and also teaches them about releasing what they catch.
