Hello Baby is the perfect baby monitor. It is way smaller than when my kids were babies and has many more options than the ones just a few years ago.

2 Way talk. You can hear the baby but also you can talk to them or soothe them if they start waking.
Clear, color picture
It has very clear night vision
You can check the temperature of the room without going in and set an alarm if the temperature goes above or below a certain set temp.  
You can pan, tilt or zoom on the camera from your remote
You can play a lullaby from your remote piece
