The 411: Jackie Gleason from the Honeymooners had his own variety show 50 years ago and while I was only 1 when this show was on I know all about it! What I love about these shows from the 60s is that the jokes are clean and funny, the men all wear suits, the sets were so colorful. What I find interesting is that everyone smokes and can we talk about those microphone wires that take up the stage ready to trip everyone holding one. This DVD includes 4 episodes of The Jackie Gleason Show as well as 3 remade Honeymooners Sketches (the Honeymooners was done in the 50s). Alice and Trixie are played by different actresses but Art Carney is there as Norton. If you like comedy, entertainment and watching performances and skits by some of the biggest stars of the day like Frankie Avalon, Florence Henderson (Ms. Brady), Nipsy Russell and Red Buttons who is featured in 3 of the 4 episodes. My favorite part was seeing The Honeymooners in color! |

This would be a lot of fun to watch. I enjoyed watching The Honeymooners with my dad.
