Our Life Was Filled With Sunny Days, Parks annd Farms. I Miss These Days

Back in the day before the kids were in school we spent all our days at the park and farms in our area. I loved getting them both out to enjoy the day before it got too warm for me to be outside. These photos were taken in May 2008.

We usually had the park to ourselves for the first 2-3 hours. I loved it. I didn't have to worry about my kids around other people. I was always afraid someone was going to hurt them or steal them. Is that normal?   I also loved that because there weren't other kids they played with each other most of the time.

Goddess and Handsome loved being on the swings and the both couldn't pump their legs. I taught them how by standing behind them and saying "Reach up to the sky" as they went up and "kick mommy" when they came back toward me. They thought it was so funny and said it with me. They still say it when they get on a swing and laugh. Maybe one day they will be saying the same kind of thing when they bring their own family to the park.

I took about 800-1500 photos a month of my kids during their elementary years and always tried to take a selfie or 20 too. One day I won't be around and I wanted them to have photos of me. It is so important to make sure you are included in the photos. As a mom we always have the camera but one day we won't be around and they will want to see photos of you. I wish there were more photos of my mom.  Make sure you are in those photos.

I can see my babies allergy puffy eyes in this picture. My kids still suffer but it used to be much worse. Now I can tell them don't forget your Claritin or give them eye drops to use but they used to suffer so much they would cry. It was horrible. Getting drops in their eyes was torture.

I miss these days.
