Back To School Must Have: Everlast Notebook by Rocketbook

The 411:

Rocketbook has come with me everywhere since receiving it. It is a spiral bound notebook that comes with a special pen where you write just like any other notebook but now you can digitally send it right to an email or cloud service of your choice with the Rocketbook app on your phone. You take a picture of the page with the app and email it where it needs to go.

There are so many uses:

As a blogger, I use it to jot down ideas, draft a blog post, write a reviews, and write back to the 100s of emails I get every day.

As a mom, I have used it to send my kids love notes written by me not typed out.

As a wife, my husband needed my signature for paperwork at work the other day. I was able to email it right over to him so he could digitally place it where necessary on some benefit paperwork as well as send off a shopping list since he was getting out of work early and I was still at the pool with the kids.

This is what my email looked like when I sent it to my husband.

So much easier than texting or typing an email on my phone.

Benefits:

The book is reusable just use a moisture rag to erase and start over.
Unlike a dry erase board the ink doesn't smear. It looks exactly like pen
Each page has 7 symbols at the bottom which means you can set each up as a destination right in the app. This is cool so whenever you check off the symbol on your page there is no reason to input an email every  time.  I have one for each of my kids, my husband, my job, myself and my Google Doc.
The app also keeps everything organized for you in your history
The prices are really reasonable.
Great for students who aren't quick typists. Take notes in your Everlast Notebook and send it to your cloud
No more wasting paper

Funkins Lunchbags For Back To School Or Work

The 411:

Back To School usually means a new backpack and a new lunchbox for my daughter. She refuses to eat the school lunch. This year she is getting a lunchbag from Funkins and honestly I think it fits more than I usually put in her lunch box. On top of being super cute it is light, easy to hold and free from chemicals. I even love that the inside is just as cute as the outside.

This pink bag is designed with butterflies on the outside and polka dots on the inside.

There is even a place to put your child's name in the label. As someone who works in a school I can tell you this is one of the most important things besides being able to keep your food at a safe temperature.

Guys...look how much space is inside this bag.

They definitely light up the lunch table and you can even order a design coordinated cloth napkin that can even be used as a place mat.  It comes in a pack of two with two different designs. Both items are machine washable. I have a little one in my class that comes in every Monday with her freshly cleaned lunchbox and napkin. I can tell because I am addicted to the softener smell her mother uses to wash both.

Dropped My Baby At High School Orientation And Want To Cry

This morning I drove Handsome to his high school orientation. I saw parents walking kids in and parents dropping off so I was excited and thought...I get to go in with him. We got to the door and he said, "bye mom" and high tailed it right in that school never turning back.

While I am happy for that he is so confident to enter the doors of the school he will be in for  the next for years of his life I was so sad for me. Thankfully I had my daughter with me so I went out to enjoy some breakfast and mommy/daughter time so there was no time to be sad but WOW...time flies.

I love you my boy! Always be who you are because you are amazing!

Feeling Nostalgic With These Scented Sachets -

The 411:

It wasn't until I held one of these in my hand this past week that I remembered as a kid always seeing scented sachet packets around the house and my grandparents house.  They were given as gifts too.  I remember getting some at my first jobs in the grab bags. I always loved picking one out for my bedroom or eventually my apartment when I first moved out. I am happy to see they are back and easy to find these days.

We have placed one in my car, two in the family room, near the bathroom where the litter boxes are and one in my gym bag.

Next week the kids go back to school and I head back to work so I am taking two to my job to place near the changing tables since we are not allowed to spray anything in daycare and I also wanted to give some away to you guys.

I could smell them the moment I picked up the box at my mailbox. It smelled amazing and I was thrilled. My favorite of the scents is Sage and Citrus and

The price is pretty nostalgic too at only $2.95. I think that is about what I used to spend over 25 years ago.

These are great gifts and perfect for leaving around when you need something to either remind you of something or to add some scent to an area. Have a child leaving for college? Pack some of these or send them in your next care package.

The Best Toffee I Ever Ate - Need To Order More. Somebody Stop Me!

Dave's Sweet Tooth

OMG I love chocolate covered toffee. In fact, Skor and Heath and two of my favorite candy bars next to Reese but Dave's Sweet Tooth is on a whole new level. Featured in my Back To School video Dave's Sweet Tooth WAS so good.

Handcrafted in Michigan using a recipe that has been mastered over the years using real butter, chocolate and hand sliced almonds, Dave's Sweet Tooth has many flavors including season favorites.

It is truly delicious and we could not stop eating it. It took us a week to eat more toffee than anyone should eat.

If you were to ask me my absolute favorite of the samples I received I would probably say the Dark Chocolate. It was truly delicious. The bags look like mason jars. Tear off the lid looking strip and open the package which has pieces of toffee in various sizes. It looks like it is broken off by hand.  I loved the smaller pieces which made it seem like we could have the bag last longer if we broken off smaller pieces. Believe me when I tell you it was very hard not to eat the whole bag at a sitting.

The bags are 4 oz each and I could have easily eaten the whole bag which I am embarrassed to say.

The coffee toffee was pretty incredible too because it had bits of coffee bean on it. This was really good because the toffee had another layer of texture that added so much flavor.

YUM...the vanilla bean was so good and is now gone.

What is different about Dave's Sweet Tooth Toffee is that it won't break your teeth like other toffee bars. So if you are someone who loves toffee but have not eaten it in a while because you were worried about your teeth, Dave's Sweet Tooth may change things for you.

If you are looking for a sweet snack for someone this is it!!! In fact, while I didn't buy any as a gift yet, I think this is a great idea for the office staff this back to school year. The prices is really reasonable, about $5.99 a pack and I know they will appreciate the chocolate on day 1.

Final Note: I posted on my personal Facebook page and an hour later two friends told me they bought a sample pack.  I seriously need to find out when they are getting a delivery and invite myself over.  WINK!
