I love reading but have never read as much as I do since reading on Kindle only. I don't know if it is my older eyes but I find it much easier to read on my phone over the past few years. PLUS I can read in any lighting anywhere. It never seems bright enough in my house especially at night for me to read and I like being with the family even if I am not watching what they are.
Don't get me wrong; I LOVED reading books and when Kindle was for introduced I thought No thank you. I love opening, closing and sniffing my books. Does anyone else do this or is it just me?
In August a friend mentioned an app she uses called Bookly. I started my blog because of her many moons ago. Her suggestions have never let me down so I got Bookly. I LOVE! LOVE! LOVE! it so much that I got the yearly subscription instead of just the free app.
Seeing all my books lined up and being able to add quotes or notes plus the monthly reading report makes me so happy.
When I started the app I had put down I wanted to read 20 minutes a day. That is easy to do so I might change it to an hour. My goal this year is to read from my current kindle list and NOT purchase any books. I have thousands of books sitting in my Kindle because Amazon offers many free books every day.
I don't want to put down a number of books I expect to read because honestly it doesn't matter but I cannot wait to see what 2025's year in review looks like.
